What’s with the oil in our skin? Excessive oils in our skin that we can’t even control. What is its purpose aside from making us look bad and greasy. A lot of people are simply irritated by this greasy fact. So what makes our skin greasy, and what is its purpose?

What is responsible for this horrible mess on our face? The main culprit behind our oily skin is our over active sebaceous glands, and this gland produce a natural skin lubricant substance called sebum. When our gland produces too much of sebum, oil is then produced.

Our oily skin has always been associated with pimples, blemishes, clogged pores, blackheads, and the build up of unwanted dead skin cells on the surface of our skin.

Aside from bringing doom to our flawless skin, whether you believe it or not, oil actually helps us maintain the youthful glow in our skin. It’s true, because when we grow older, our skin starts to become thinner. Making it more prone to damage, and wrinkles. But with the help of the oil found in the skin, your skin has a good chance of not being damaged by wrinkles and other signs of skin aging. And that is because the oil helps trap the moisture locked into the outermost layer of the skin.

So if you decide that you want to get rid of that oil from your face, you better think twice before doing it. Because in the end, you will be the one who’s sorry for getting the natural lubricant off your body.
