There have been a lot of studies on which cooking oil is the healthiest among the rest. And Canola proves to be the healthiest cooking oil on earth. So you might be wondering, what makes canola oil the healthiest cooking oil? Well it’s because canola has very low bad fats called saturated fats and high in good fats called mono unsaturated fat.

Saturated fats are the one responsible for our bloods cholesterol level to rise. And with the high cholesterol level in our system, it may lead to cardiovascular diseases like: heart attacks, stroke or cardiac arrest. Saturated fats are also suspected to promote breast cancer for women, and prostate cancer for men. Although we can never avoid taking foods that have saturated fats, we can still limit our intake of food rich in saturated fats.

While for mono unsaturated fats, they are believed to lower our cholesterol levels and assist in reducing the tendency of having cardiovascular diseases like polyunsaturated fat does. mono unsaturated fats also offers some protection from certain cancers.
