A Healthy Dose of Sunlight

They say that sunlight is the bringer of life. Without it, there will be no life forms on earth. Our planet would have been just a cold, dark, and lifeless environment. And our planet will not be a suitable place to live. That’s why we are very lucky having our very own sun. Not only that we have our own sun, our planet was also placed strategically not too close, and not too far from the sun, but just the right distance from it so that we can still enjoy the gift and benefits of the sun to the fullest.
There is a saying that newly born babies should have at least be expose to sunlight for a certain amount of time. And there is a perfectly good explanation behind it. As we already know, sun light brings life to our planet, and not only that it brings life, sunlight also carries along it the essential nutrients in order for life to sustain and flourish.
Vitamin D is what we want to get from exposing ourselves to sunlight. And that is because vitamin D regulates the calcium and phosphorus levels in our blood. Also vitamin D affects our immune system by promoting phagocytosis.
But be sure that you only get exposed for a certain amount of time. Because over exposure to the sun will cause skin cancer and skin aging. So in order for one to avoid it, try putting on sunscreen lotions. That way, you will be protected from the harmful UV rays.
After hearing the side effects of over exposure to sunlight, I am sure that there are a few of you out there who are already afraid to go outside and be exposed to the sunlight right? Well there is really no need for you to avoid sunlight. After all you can never avoid it, it’s like the phrase “You can run, but you can’t hide”. The same goes with the sun. And it’s not like if you were expose to the sun, you will suddenly get skin cancer and skin aging. Those diseases don’t work that way. It takes a little more exposure, over exposure before diseases like that start to work and corrupt our body.
Sunlight is not that harmful, when you expose yourself with the right amount exposure, and the right time. And the right time to bath in sunlight is from 6am-8am in the morning. And from 4pm onwards, where suns ray isn’t that hot and dangerous anymore.
