That is because tomatoes are well-known for Lycopene. Tomatoes also have other nutrients and minerals, but Lycopene is the most studied and important of them all. Why Lycopene you say? It is because Lycopene can greatly reduce the risk of getting cancer.

A lot of people are suffering from cancer today, and almost a lot of people out there don’t know that they have this killer disease until they go to the doctors for check up. Lycopene plays a vital role in reducing the risk of having cancer (prostate cancer to be exact) by killing cancer cells before they even get to develop and get severe.

Not only that, it can help fight cancer, tomatoes are also known to help promote healthy and young looking skin. Tomatoes help us to look more younger and healthy by blocking the suns harmful UV rays, and it is said that if you eat tomatoes, your skin will have a pinkish glow in it. This is actually true, so if you want to look younger and healthy, then try including tomatoes in your diet.

Not only those tomatoes are very healthy, they also serve as a very tasty treat. And that is the reason why they are frequently used in a lot of dishes around the world.

There has been a debate over tomatoes, whether they are fruits or vegetables. But regardless of them being a fruit or vegetable, we can never deny how tasty and healthy it is for us.
